after fur (painting)

some time ago I mentioned a picture my cat decided to re-factor by sleeping on it.
here is the finished version of the same picture - with some re-factoring done by me.

my pastels don't look quite the same when I make photos of them, and this one had to be cropped because the photo wasn't well aligned. but I guess the main idea is clear.

  1. Will you share more art work on here? I like it. The contrast in the sky especially. I have respect for anyone who can work in pastels- I always found it difficult as whatever I did looked like a smudge ;)

  2. Thanks, I started doing pastels only a year or so ago, switching watercolors for something more solid.
I'll share some pastel works here, though I doubt I'll post all of them.
And I believe I've posted several 'digital art' pieces of mine here... they're in history, tagged 'painting' if I'm not mistaken.

You used to paint? I'm very curious to see you paintings, will you share some? :)

    1. I'll look forward to seeing more. I have seen your previous work, and you have a great talent for it. The one someone suggests is 'a bucket' is appealing to me for all the things that it 'could' be. Each person might see a different object- I see a small grassy world, but another could just as easily see an eye close up.
I haven't painted at all since I was about 16. My best work was in pencils and 'shading' but it's not a skill of mine. I'll email you something I did though soon.

    2. There's always a chance you'd go back to painting one day, I hope you would.
