I have a thing for eyes. Obviously in men and women, I look for different things when looking into the 'windows to their souls' but the eyes on this are great. I don't know the context of the picture or the character but it looks like they have 'lived' and saw things.
In Russian we say that eyes are 'the mirrors of the soul', a bit different than windows, because reflections can be distorted. The context was supposed to be 'lonely keeper of wisdom', a poor hermit... I was even criticized for making his robe woolen, not burlap :)
Lonely keeper of wisdom. It's deep, and when you are criticized for making his robe one material and not another, it's easy to see why the keeper of wisdom will always be lonely and misjudged.
